For International Day of Forests 2026, I helped develop a public communication campaign translating the theme Forests and Economies into accessible visual stories for Filipino audiences. Using wildlife featured on Philippine banknotes, the campaign highlighted how biodiversity, healthy forests, and economic security are deeply connected.
My role included concept development, message structuring, research synthesis, copywriting, and visual direction.
Wildlife on our currency reflects ecosystems that sustain the nation.
Philippine banknotes celebrate more than national figures—they also feature species whose survival depends on healthy forests.
Species loss reflects wider ecosystem stress, with consequences for watersheds, agriculture, and long-term resilience.
Forest biodiversity supports regeneration, seed dispersal, and long-term ecological productivity.
Old-growth forests support one of the world’s rarest raptors. Protecting habitat also safeguards watersheds and carbon storage.
Protecting forests is not only environmental stewardship—it is long-term economic security.
